Our Teachers

We thought you might like to know a little bit about our teachers, so on this page, we're going to tell you exactly what they are like!

Mrs. Kerwin

Headteacher

head.stlukeshalsall@schools.sefton.gov.uk

Mrs Kerwin is a very nice headteacher. She gives us stickers when we go to her office to see her, and occasionally she teaches around the school. She calls in to our class to say hello quite often. She is no good at bowling though, and has never scored a strike in the time she has been at St Luke's. She likes Rod Stewart and Emmerdale.

Mrs. Jones

Deputy Headteacher and Reception Teacher

Mrs Jones makes me laugh. She is a good teacher in school. She is funny and she teaches us things. She is nice and kind. - Hannah

Mrs Jones is a brilliant and very nice teacher. She is a clever teacher too. Maybe sometimes she shouts but she is still very nice and good. - Joshua

Miss. Callaghan

Nursery Teacher

Miss Callaghan is funny. She likes painting and singing songs. - Millie and Rachel

Miss. Davey

Year 1 Teacher

Miss Davey is fab and not that strict. She organises fun and entertaining activities such as 'Shake and Wake' which is an aerobic activity. She has a short memory and when she gets a library book she always forgets to give it back. She plays flute, keyboard and piano. Her favourite colour is pink.

Mrs. Davies

Year 2 Teacher

I like being in class because Mrs Davies lets me play with the farm and pretend with animals. Mrs Davies is nice. She tells us funny stories. - Erin

Mrs. Coutts

Year 3 Teacher

I like Mrs Coutts. She has blonde hair and is very kind to me. - Jenny

Mr. Warren

Year 4 Teacher

He teaches Year 4. We love doing Dance because he's brilliant at it. Mr Warren loves Everton.

Mrs. Horne

Year 5 Teacher

Mrs Horne is a teacher. She teaches Year 5. You do all sorts of exciting lessons and learn lots of things. She is a loving, careful teacher. She helps people if they don't understand things.

Mrs. Coates

Year 6 Teacher

Mrs Coates is an Evertonian. She teaches us sign language to hymns. She organises lots of after-school clubs, like cricket and tag rugby. Every year she prepares groups for the Crosby Bible Reading competition.

Mr. Heritage

ICT Teacher

Mr Heritage loves the Beatles. We love it when he gets his guitar out and we sing. When something needs fixing, like the photocopier, all the other teachers call him. He is really good at IT.

Mrs. Murrow

Admin Officer

admin.stlukeshalsall@schools.sefton.gov.uk

Mrs Murrow runs the office. She works very hard and is very busy. She has red hair and glasses. We like her a lot.

Mrs. Lloyd

Admin Assistant

Mrs Lloyd is a good laugh. She works in the office and is a teaching assistant as well. She enjoys going on our residential trips.

Mr. Beale

Mr Beale is our site manager. He keeps our school shiny. He takes care of the garden at the front of school, and looks after the buildings.
