School Nursery
15 & 30 hour funded places for 3 & 4 year olds
We are incredibly lucky to have a School Nursery within our wonderful Early Years Foundation Stage Department. Our Nursery Class is very much part of our school, which we find really helps with a smooth transition up to Reception and gives children the best possible beginning to their learning journey.
Our Nursery children have their own classroom and playground which are opened up at points throughout the day to create a shared space with our Reception children with various play equipment and activities for them to enjoy.
Children can join our Nursery from the term following their 3rd birthday and we provide both 15 and 30 hour funded places, with the basic 15 hours being allocated over morning sessions Monday to Friday from 8.45am – 11.45am. We offer lunch and afternoon sessions for those staying for the full school day as well as wraparound care known as ‘Happy Club’. Please see the document attached below for details.
Afternoons sessions and/or Happy Club can be paid for privately or funded by the additional 15 hours free childcare for those eligible. You can check your eligibility for the 30 hours childcare at https://www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare. We also accept payments through the tax-free childcare scheme.
Nursery children may bring a packed lunch or can have a school dinner at a cost of £2 per day.
If you would like to come and take a look around our Nursery Class, please get in touch with the school office on 0151 924 5142 to arrange a visit.
