Office Manager/Bursar


The Governors of this popular and high achieving Christian school have the following vacancy commencing as soon as possible.


We wish to appoint a skilled, well organised and motivated Office Manager/Bursar to enhance our work.


The successful candidate will be responsible for effective whole school administration including financial, human resource and organisational systems within school. They will be working as part of a team but with considerable independence and accountability, with responsibility for managing our resources within a budget, contributing to the marketing and promotion of the school, and line managing office support staff.


The successful candidate will:


Treat the confidentiality and safety of the pupils and staff with paramount importance.

Have a strong background in financial management and the organisation of systems.

Be flexible, enthusiastic and caring.  Have excellent interpersonal skills.


Candidates must be prepared to take a full and active part in all aspects of school life and support the Christian ethos of the school. You will be supported by a highly motivated staff, who are key to the achievements of this very successful school.


The post is term time only plus 5 INSET days.


Due to the nature of work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS)
